A: Depending on Wi-Fi interference in the environment we recommend a maximum distance of 10 meters. To ensure optimal streaming performance please perform the following checks:
- Install the receiver in the same room as the users
- Avoid physical obstructions and ensure there is a line of sight (LoS) between the user and receiver
- Do not mount the receiver behind a large display as this can significantly reduce signal strength
A: The following streaming protocol versions are supported:
- Miracast V1.1 with HDCP 2.X support
- AirPlay V1 and AirPlay V2
- Google Cast V2 720p @ 60fps
Product Selection
A: EZCast Pro Box II has all the features of EZCast Pro Dongle II. The EZCast Pro Box II also offers advanced connectivity thanks to its external antenna and LAN port, which can also supply the receiver with power (PoE). In addition, the EZCast Pro Box II supports the touch function of your screen.
Use Cases and Scenarios
A: Both the EZCast Pro Dongle II and the EZCast Pro Box II support video and audio broadcasting to up to 8 other screens, each connected to either an EZCast Pro Dongle II or EZCast Pro Box II via HDMI. A: Both the EZCast Pro Dongle II and the EZCast Pro Box II support 4K resolution.
A: Generally, this is possible. However, due to DRM (Digital Rights Management) policy issued by streaming service providers, EZCast Pro might have compatibility issues with these streaming platforms.
A: Yes, EZCast Pro II allows up to 4 users to share their content on the same screen using the EZCast Pro app, or if you prefer not to use an app you can even mirror up to 4 devices using the AirPlay protocol for Apple devices or Google Cast for Windows/Android devices.
A: Both the EZCast Pro Dongle II and the EZCast Pro Box II support all popular wireless display technologies, meaning you can use your device’s build-in mirroring function e.g. Miracast, AirPlay and Google Cast, without needing to install any app.
Troubleshooting

A: : First make sure the network you are trying to connect to is an encrypted network. For security reasons only encrypted networks are listed by default. If you wish to connect to an unencrypted W-Fi please add the network manually.
Please also check whether the frequency of your Wi-Fi network supports the equivalent 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz band of your EZCast Pro device:
- EZCast Pro Dongle II: 5 GHz (default), or 2,4 GHz in Legacy Mode
- EZCast Pro Box II: 5 GHz (default), or 2.4 GHz in Legacy Modus
- EZCast Pro Dongle I: 2.4 GHz
- EZCast Pro LAN: 2.4 GHz
A: Your EZCast Pro’s Wi-Fi depends heavily on the minimum power supply. Please make sure that your EZCast Pro device is receiving sufficient power to ensure a stable performance of the embedded Wi-Fi module:
- EZCast Pro Dongle II: 5V 1.5A
- EZCast Pro Box II: 5V 2A, or PoE (5V 3A)
- EZCast Pro Dongle I: 5V 1A (USB charger), or 5V 0.9A (MHL)
- EZCast Pro LAN: 5V 2A
Please also check whether the frequency of your device supports the equivalent 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz band of the EZCast Pro device:
- EZCast Pro Dongle II: 5 GHz (default), or 2,4 GHz in Legacy Mode
- EZCast Pro Box II: 5 GHz (default), or 2.4 GHz in Legacy Mode
- EZCast Pro Dongle I: 2.4 GHz
- EZCast Pro LAN: 2.4 GHz
